Crescent City, CA – Bicyclist Injured Following Collision with Vehicle on Elk Valley Road

Crescent City, CA (July 21, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported an accident involving a bicyclist and a motor vehicle that transpired on Elk Valley Road on Thursday afternoon. The collision that is believed to have resulted in injuries to the bicyclist reportedly took place at approximately 3:30 p.m.

As per the report, the California Highway Patrol dispatch team stated that a woman who was riding on a bicycle in the 100 block of Elk Valley Road was struck by a vehicle. While it is believed that injuries were sustained as a result, the exact condition of the bicyclist was not immediately disclosed. According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorist who struck the victim was the female driver of a white Chevrolet Tracker. The name of the female suspect and her current whereabouts are not known at this time.

There was no more information released pertaining to the cause of this accident. Authorities are presently searching for the suspect as an investigation is being conducted in order to establish the events that led to the accident.
