Daly City, CA – Garbage Truck Driver Mauricio Oropeza Killed on Skyline Boulevard

Daly City, CA (January 17, 2019) – 58-year-old Mauricio Oropeza lost his life in a fatal accident involving a garbage truck that took place on the Skyline Boulevard.

The accident took place yesterday morning around 6:15 a.m. in Daly City in the 600 block of the Skyline Boulevard. According to police, Oropeza was driving a truck and had been picking up garbage when he collided with a parked vehicle.

Oropeza was thrown from his vehicle and was pinned between the two vehicles. When emergency responders arrived at the scene of the accident, they found that Oropeza was already deceased. They tragically pronounced him dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported at the scene of the accident. At this time, police continue their investigation so that they can determine the cause of the crash.
