Desert Hot Springs, CA – One Majorly Injured in Motorcycle Crash at Intersection of Palm and 20th

Desert Hot Springs, CA (March 8, 2019) – On Thursday afternoon, March 7^th, police responded to a motorcycle crash at the intersection of Palm Drive and 20^th Avenue that led to major injuries.

The California Highway Patrol investigated the accident, which took place around 3:30 p.m. between a motorcycle and a motor vehicle. The motorcycle had been driving southbound and suddenly struck a vehicle on Palm Drive. The impact was so forceful that the motorcyclist was sent flying to the hard ground.

Police say that the motorcycle went out from underneath the motorcyclist and continued driving toward the northbound lanes, where it struck another vehicle.

The motorcyclist was seriously injured and rushed to the Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment. One other person sustained minor injuries. Both are expected to recover following treatment.

Police have not identified the parties yet. At this time, their investigation into the accident continues.
