Dixon, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on 80 Freeway

Dixon, CA – (July 14, 2018) – A motorcyclist was after being the victim of an alleged hit-and-run accident on the I-80 Freeway Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team. The injurious collision reportedly took place at around 3:09 p.m. in the vicinity of the Dixon Avenue on-ramp.

The California Highway Patrol initially logged the accident when the motorcyclist was reportedly seen moving over to the right-hand side of the highway after apparently falling off the bike. According to that report, one witness that the motorcyclist was forced to make an evasive maneuver after a vehicle had cut-off the rider, subsequently forcing the crash.

Solano County Fire Department officials quickly responded to the scene along with paramedics in order to assist the victim. The rider apparently sustained undisclosed injuries as a result of the accident. The victims’ name and condition are presently unknown.

The motorist who cut-off the rider and caused this crash did not stop to offer assistance but fled the scene instead. Authorities are currently investigating and gathering information in order to locate the suspect.
