Dixon, California – One Fatality Reported after Deadly Accident near Batavia and Midway Roads

Dixon, California (July 5, 2018) – Dixon local news sources reported one fatality as the result of a deadly accident that took place near Batavia and Midway Roads. The incident occurred at approximately 2:55 PM in the afternoon on Thursday, July 5, 2018. At the same time, a 77-year old woman from Dixon was driving a green Toyota Camry eastbound down Modesto. As she approached the stop sign at the intersection with Modest, the 22-year old failed to stop at a sign and plowed into the Toyota. As a result of the impact, the vehicles swerved off the road and into a southeast shoulder, and the Toyota plowed into a nearby tree.

First responders declared the 77-year old woman died at the crash site.

Ultimately, the 22-year old driver was taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center, where she received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
