Dublin, California – Motorcyclist Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 580

Dublin, California (June 26, 2018) – Local news reported that a deadly multi-vehicle crash resulting in the death of a motorcyclist took place on Interstate 580 in the area of Dublin. The incident took place at approximately 3:50 PM during the afternoon on June 25, 2018. Recently, the Alameda County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased motorcyclist as 25-year old Oakdale resident Cody Krimm, who was instantly killed when his bike collided with two larger vehicles. The identities of the two motorists involved have not been released to public sources.

As the report indicates, Krimm was riding his bike at a range of 30 to 40 miles per hour down Interstate 580 in Dublin. Authorities speculate he was crossing lanes at the same time the driver of a Porsche began changing lanes just in front of him. In seconds, Krimm attempted to brake but lost control of the motorcycle, which crashed into the side of the Porsche. As a result of the impact, Krimm flew off his bike and collided with an oncoming Honda Accord. California Highway Patrol officers confirmed that the motorcyclist later died at the crash site. The physical conditions of the Porsche and Honda drivers have not been disclosed.

At present, the investigation is ongoing.
