East Los Angeles, CA – Major Accident with Injuries on 10 Freeway near Peck Rd

East Los Angeles, CA (January 17, 2019) – Police say that major injuries were reported on the 10 Freeway following a serious vehicle accident that took place around 4:50 am yesterday, January 16 in El Monte.

The accident allegedly took place on the 10 Freeway and Valley Boulevard on-ramp close to Peck Road. Police reported that one of the vehicles involved, a dark-colored sedan, slammed into the back of a white Acura.

Though it is still uncertain what caused the two vehicles to collide, the dark sedan was forced down an embankment following the collision while the Acura went off the side of the freeway near 3400 Peck Road.

An ambulance arrived at the scene of the accident so that emergency responders could attend to the involved parties. Tow trucks also arrived at the scene to clear vehicles from the scene and police continue their investigation at this time.
