Escondido, CA – 54-Year-Old Killed in Fatal Accident on Valley Parkway

Escondido, CA (March 4, 2019) – Police say that yesterday morning, March 3^rd, a 54-year-old man lost his life in a fatal accident at the Valley Parkway/Quince Street intersection.

The Escondido Police Department responded to the scene of the accident around 9:35 a.m., where they found that a 2003 Mercedes sedan driven by a 41-year-old woman collided with a 1996 Toyota Tacoma that was heading southbound on Quince Street.

The impact was so forceful that it caused the Tacoma to roll several times, landing on top of its driver. The 54-year-old had been partially ejected due to the accident.

The man was extricated from under the vehicle and taken to the Palomar Medical Center. He was tragically pronounced deceased while there. His name has not yet been released at this time.

The woman inside the Tacoma was also extricated and only suffered minor injuries.

At this time, police continue their investigation into the circumstances leading up to this fatal accident.
