Escondido, CA – Pedestrian Accident on Ninth Avenue Leads to Hospitalization

Escondido, CA (February 16, 2019) – A pedestrian accident took place at the intersection of Ninth Avenue and Quince Street last evening, according to police who investigated.

The crash happened at the intersection around 5:25 p.m., close to a block away from the Centre City Parkway. A Nissan Armada struck a pedestrian for reasons that were not known. He had been walking close to the intersection at the time.

The man, whose name has not yet been released but has been identified as a 69-year-old pedestrian, was quickly rushed to the hospital with severe head trauma. There were no other details offered on his condition at this time.

The accident remains under investigation by police.
