Eureka, CA – Hit-and-Run Accident Injures Pedestrian

Eureka, CA (November 3, 2018) – A pedestrian sustained injuries as a result of a hit-and-run accident that occurred in Eureka Thursday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol report. The crash transpired at an unspecified time on Thursday, November 1st in the 3800 blocks of Little Fairfield Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, an unidentified pedestrian was struck by a vehicle along the roadway on Little Fairfield Street. Following the collision, the driver of the vehicle involved failed to render aid to the injured pedestrian and fled the scene. Emergency personnel arrived at the crash site and transported the patient to St. Joseph Hospital to treat the injuries sustained upon impact of the collision. The extent of the pedestrian’s injuries was not immediately established. The sequence of events that led to the crash remains under investigation.
