Eureka, CA – One Person Injured after Two-Vehicle Traffic Accident at Intersection of Walnut Drive and Hemlock Street

Eureka, CA (August 10, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that one victim sustained injuries as the result of a two-vehicle traffic accident that took place at the intersection of Walnut Drive and Hemlock Street. The incident transpired at some time after 1:20 PM in the afternoon on Thursday, August 9, 2018. As shown in the original CHP report, a black Toyota 4Runner and a Kia Rio were traveling in the Eureka area when, for indeterminate reasons, the two vehicles collided at Walnut and Hemlock. Sometime later, firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the crash site and rendered aid to a person who sustained non-life threatening injuries during the impact. Officials have not specified if this victim received treatment at the crash site or was transported to a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, officers confirmed one driver had left one of the vehicles. Nevertheless, CHP has not yet authenticated this information.

At this time, the investigation is ongoing. As more evidence continues to surface, more information will be released to public sources.

We extend our most heartfelt prayers and our most loving thoughts to the victim of the crash and wish this individual a swift and efficient recovery during this difficult time.
