Crash on Latrobe Road Kills One

Shingle Springs, Calif. (June 15, 2018) — An accident on Latrobe Road in Shingle Springs has killed at least one person. According to California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 7400 Latrobe Road around 11:07 a.m.

According to initial reports, the vehicle veered off the freeway before crashing. As of posting, it is unclear how many people were involved in the crash, but there was at least one fatality as a result of the collision. Police continue to investigate to determine if drugs, alcohol, or another vehicle played a role in the accident

Following the accident, Latrobe Road was temporarily closed to allow first responders to document the areas and clean up the scene of the crash. The road was reopened around 1:09 p.m.

Traffic Accident Investigation

California Highway Patrol investigators remained at the scene to document evidence and determine who was at fault for this catastrophic accident. As of posting, limited information is available to the public and specifics regarding the speed of the vehicle or if the driver of the fatal car ignored vital traffic guidelines remains unclear.
