Fatal Head-On Car Crash in Williams Injures 6 People

Williams, CA (June 17, 2018) – A tragic head-on collision in Williams resulted in one death and at least six injuries Sunday afternoon. According to the California Highway Patrol, the devastating accident happened on Highway 20 near Highway 16 just after noon, around 12:18 p.m. Two vehicles reportedly collided east of Highway 16 for reasons that are currently unknown. The California Highway Patrol along with paramedics the Cal Fire Department immediately responded to the scene.

Highway 20 had to be closed down in both directions as a fatality was reported in the collision. While one person was confirmed dead, it is currently unknown exactly how many people perished in the crash. A minimum of six people were quickly transported to local hospitals to be treated for their injuries, which have yet to be specified.

Police are currently conducting a thorough investigation in order to accurately determine who may have been at fault for the collision.
