Fatal Pedestrian Accident Caused by DUI Driver at Western Avenue in Buena Park

Buena Park (June 25, 2018) – A driver, suspected to be under the influence, struck and killed a pedestrian on Saturday night. A local news source reported the accident that occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Jackson Way and Western Avenue in Buena Park.

According to the report, a 51-year-old man was crossing the road at the intersection with his family when he was struck and killed by the motorist. Reportedly, the family was crossing the street at a marked crosswalk at the time of the accident. While none of the other family members were injured, the man who was struck was unfortunately killed.

According to officers, the man who hit the pedestrian, 32-year-old Jason Rarey was quite possibly under the influence of narcotics at the time of the incident.
