Fish Camp, CA – Motorcyclist Injured after Collision with Toyota on Highway 41 near Jackson Road
Fish Camp, California (July 10, 2018) – Local news sources reported that a motorcyclist was involved in a traffic collision that took place along Highway 41 near Jackson Road. The incident occurred at approximately 11:09 AM in the late morning on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Authorities have identified the motorcyclist as 63-year old Larry Hale, an Oakhurst resident, and the motorist as 66-year old Charity Caverly.
According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, Hale was driving his 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle down the northbound lanes of Highway 41. At the same time, Caverly had attempted to merge her 2018 Toyota onto the highway via the Tenaya Lodge route. Without warning, Caverly veered towards the oncoming motorcyclist, and Hale swerved to avoid the oncoming car, to no avail.
Officials confirmed Hale was severely injured during the impact and was taken to the Community Medical Regional Center for treatment.
Caverly did not sustain injuries during the crash.
As of now, the California Highway Patrol is controlling the ongoing investigation.

Authorities are working hard to determine what specifically caused the crash. Forensic teams will examine photographs of the crash site and inspect the Harley and the Toyota for mechanical issues or system failure. Officials will also consider if drunk driving, drug abuse, negligence, distracted driving, or reckless behavior played any part in the events leading up to the crash.
