California’s Pedestrian Accidents
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration noted that a pedestrian is killed every 1.5 hours in the United States. When a car hits a pedestrian, the chance of the pedestrian coming away uninjured is very low. Something as simple as not checking a blind spot or backing up in a parking lot can lead to serious injuries or death if a pedestrian is struck.
Vehicle drivers are responsible for protecting pedestrians by staying alert as they drive.
