Four People Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision Near Plymouth, CA

Crash at Intersection of Highway 49 and Highway 16 Injures Four

Plymouth, California (June 19, 2018) – California Highway Patrol reported that a collision involving two vehicles occurred at the intersection of Highway 49 and Highway 16 on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 12:15 PM. CHP and additional sources have not revealed the identities of the individuals involved in the accident or the severity of their current physical conditions.

Sources indicate the accident occurred when a Chevy pickup truck and a gray sedan which has no currently listed model number collided at the intersection of 40 and 16. Sources indicate four people suffered major injuries, and authorities had to extract one victim from one of the wrecked vehicles. Following the collision and an examination by paramedics at the scene, all individuals were taken to a local medical center to receive treatment for their injuries.

Investigations focusing on the cause of the crash are currently underway. California Highway Patrol officers remained at the crash site until approximately 1:30 PM, and traffic was slowed in the area as officers directed other vehicles around the scene.
