Fremont, CA- Fatal Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Accident on Mission Blvd
Fremont, CA (June 27, 2019)- A man killed in a hit-and-run motorcycle crash on Wednesday has been identified as 28-year-old San Jose resident Alfred Legaspi.
The collision took place at approximately 5:25 am when Legaspi was traveling on his motorcycle eastbound on Mission Boulevard toward the Brown Road intersection. A vehicle traveling in the opposite direction turned directly in front of Legaspi in the direction of Brown Road, striking him.
Emergency medical personnel and police found Legaspi in the road with major injuries. He was transported to a trauma hospital, where he passed away.
The driver who hit Legaspi fled the scene.
Though police have a person of interest in the case, no arrests have been made at this time. According to reports, the registered owner of the vehicle and another individual has been contacted. However, no further details as far as arrests are currently available,
Whether substances were a factor in the crash is unknown.
The investigation is ongoing.
