Fremont, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Collision on 880 Freeway Near Mission Boulevard

Fremont, CA (July 22, 2018) – One motorcyclist was reported to have sustained injuries following a crash on the 880 Freeway Saturday afternoon in Fremont, according to a report released by the California Highway Patrol. The injurious collision that reportedly occurred in the northbound lanes of the freeway, a little south of the Mission Boulevard off-ramp, took place at approximately 4:36 p.m.

As per the report, the crash involved two vehicles altogether. Those vehicles were a motorcycle and a blue Lexus IS 300. At this time, it has been stated that the motorcycle rider apparently crashed into the rear-end of the Lexus for reasons that are presently undetermined. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene in order to assist anyone who may have suffered any injuries. Upon their arrival, responders reportedly found the motorcyclist downed in the number 1 lane of the freeway.

The motorcyclist had suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident. Paramedics and firefighters who responded to the crash worked to assist the victim, although it was not specifically stated as to whether or not the injured rider was taken to a hospital for treatment. There has been no more information made available pertaining to the cause of this crash, and no names have been released. The California Highway Patrol is currently in charge of the investigation into this collision.
