Fremont, CA – Two Injured After Car and Truck Crash on Mission Boulevard

Fremont, CA (August 4, 2018) – A traffic accident that reportedly involved a vehicle and a dump truck took place Friday afternoon on Mission Boulevard, according to a local and reputable news source in Fremont. The injurious crash which transpired in the vicinity of the Interstate 680 Freeway apparently occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m.

Officials stated that the dump truck became involved in the accident when it crossed over the center median and dumped gravel on the roadway, ultimately landing directly on top of a Ford sedan. The sedan was subsequently crushed under the weight of the truck, and the driver of that vehicle sustained injuries as a result. Neither the name of the victim nor the extent of their injuries have been reported at this time.

The dump truck operator was also reportedly injured in the accident, however, no more was said about the condition of that person. Crews were ultimately forced to shut down the roadway in order to allow for the investigation to begin and clean up debris. Authorities are presently examining all the evidence in order to establish the events that led to the crash.
