Fresno, CA (May 27, 2019) On the afternoon of May 27^th, a fatal collision happened on State Route 152, not far from Chowchilla. A vehicle was turning left onto Road 13 when it failed to yield the right-of-way for oncoming traffic and crashed into another vehicle that carried four occupants. The major accident happened at around 2:00 p.m.

When first responders arrived at the crash site, they found the driver who failed to stop for oncoming traffic dead at the scene. In the other vehicle, all four occupants sustained injuries. One of them sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center for immediate treatment. The other three were transported via ground ambulance to the closest hospital.

Authorities are still investigating the accident to determine any contributing factors.
