Fresno, CA – Diana Whitfield & Katherine Garges Killed By Drunk Driver on Rd 60

Fresno, CA (May 14, 2019) On the evening of May 12^th, a fatal DUI accident happened on Road 60, not far from Avenue 232. A 2006 GMC drove through a stop sign and collided with a 2006 Pontiac that carried two occupants.

When the ambulance arrived, they found the driver and passenger of the Pontiac dead at the scene. They have been identified as 75-year-old Diana Whitfield and 67-year-old Katherine Garges. The driver of the GMC sustained major injuries and was taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. He has been identified as 24-year-old Sergio Sanchez.

Authorities are still investigating, but they did arrest Sanchez on suspicion of driving under the influence, and for speeding at 70 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone.
