Fresno, CA – Emad Murshed Killed in Fatal Accident on Highway 180
Fresno, CA (March 6, 2019) – Authorities have identified one person after a fatal accident that happened on Monday night on Highway 180 as 23-year-old Emad Murshed. The accident, a wrong-way collision, ultimately killed two people.
Police responded to the accident around 11:00 p.m. on CA-180 in the area of Hayes Avenue. Murshed had been traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes when he collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle. Police are not sure why he was in the wrong lane.
Both drivers involved in the accident passed away at the scene.
The identity of the second decedent has yet to be determined.
The road was closed for several hours as the scene was cleared and investigated. Investigators are still trying to determine what circumstances led up to the accident at this time.
