Fresno, CA – One Injured and One Killed in Car Accident on Children’s Boulevard

Fresno, CA (January 30, 2019) – In Fresno, one driver sustained injuries and another person was killed in a car accident on Children’s Boulevard yesterday afternoon. The accident took place around 3 p.m.

Police responded to the accident around the area of the Valley Children’s Hospital. The California Highway Patrol said that the accident occurred when a silver Hyundai had been traveling west around 65 mph. Witnesses said that, as a result, the driver was weaving in and out of traffic trying to pass vehicles. 

The Hyundai entered a curve and spun out of control, which caused it to collide with a brown Chevy SUV that had been traveling east. The motorist in the SUV was identified as a 38-year-old woman who was quickly taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

The man who had been driving the Hyundai was identified as a 65-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
