Truck Accidents in California
Recent studies show that every sixteen minutes, a person is injured or killed in a truck accident. Most truck accidents are caused by driver’s fatigue or driver’s error. To reduce the amount of truck accidents in the United States, the federal government created specific rules and regulations for truck companies to make sure their drivers comply with. Some of the rules include not driving past a certain number of hours in order to avoid fatigue, logging all information pertaining to the truck in order to avoid mechanical issues, and not using a cell phone on the road in order to avoid crashing into others.
The police are currently investigating this accident to determine who will be held liable for all damages and losses. They’re checking road conditions, driver’s conditions, vehicle conditions, and weather conditions to see if any of these factors contributed to the collision. Once they conclude their reports, a personal injury lawsuit will likely be filed with the help of a California personal injury attorney.
