Fresno, CA – One Killed in DUI Accident on Blackstone Avenue

Fresno, CA (January 19, 2019) – Early yesterday, January 18, a man was killed in a DUI accident that took place along Blackstone Avenue around 2:45 a.m.

The man had allegedly been driving a pickup truck when it was suddenly involved in an accident and plowed through the parking lot of the Smart & Final store and a car wash. The vehicle then rolled over multiple times and ended up on its side.

One person was killed in the accident as a result. 18-year-old Robert Ellis walked away from the scene of the accident. When police caught up with the hit-and-run driver, they dictated that he had been under the influence at the time of the accident. He was hospitalized for a variety of injuries.

Police have not identified the individual who was killed in this tragic accident. Police continue their investigation into the matter at this time.
