Fresno, CA – Tractor-Trailer and SUV Collide on Highway 99

Fresno, CA (July 17, 2018) – A crash between an SUV and a large commercial tractor-trailer resulted in a fiery wreck in the southbound lanes of Highway 99 on Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision that took place at the Fresno Street off-ramp reportedly occurred at around 10:55 a.m.

After the impact of the collision, the Honda SUV that was involved was apparently off the highway on the right shoulder of the roadway. The tractor-trailer reportedly engulfed in flames due to the crash. Emergency responders were immediately called to the scene, and paramedics arrived promptly in order to assist anyone who may have been injured during the accident.

A speculative report stated that one woman was tragically killed in the collision, but that has not been confirmed. Additionally, it is currently unclear whether or not any other injuries were sustained in the accident. At this time, the cause of the potentially fatal crash is unknown, and the names of those involved have not yet been released.
