Fresno, California – School Bus and SUV Collide at Intersection of E Butler and S Chance Avenues
Fresno, California (June 27, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that a school bus and white SUV were involved in a traffic collision at the intersection of E Butler and S Chance Avenues. The incident took place at approximately 7:52 AM on the morning of Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Authorities have not released detailed information concerning the identities of the bus driver, students, and the other motorists involved in the accident.
As part of the report, a female passenger in the SUV explained she had been accompanied by her sister in law, who had attempted to run a stop sign. At the same time, the school bus approached from an opposing direction. Without warning, the SUV slammed into the bus, resulting in the accident. The female passenger provided minimal details surrounding her sister, who reportedly returned to the crash site later.
Students who had been riding on the bus may have sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.
