Fresno County, CA – Major Multi-Car Crash On I-5 Near Derrick Ave.

Fresno County, CA (May 19, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer occurred on May 19 just after 2:30 pm that injured several people.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this injury accident. According to CHP officers, the crash occurred on I-5 near Derrick Avenue in western Fresno County.

The crash began when a big rig rear-ended a car parked on the side of the highway and several other cars crashed in the result. The big rig driver overcorrected and overturned.

Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid the injured drivers.  The injured parties were transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for treatment and further evaluation.
