Fullerton, CA – Several Injured in Tractor-Trailer Accident on 57 South Freeway

Fullerton, CA (August 1, 2018) – A large commercial tractor-trailer reportedly jack-knifed after colliding with several vehicles in the southbound lanes of the 57 Freeway on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. The injurious crash that took place near Imperial Avenue apparently occurred at around 12:03 p.m.

For reasons that are presently unknown, a tractor-trailer became involved in a collision with a Dodge Ram, a white Chevy Equinox, and possibly several other vehicles as well. The semi jack-knifed at one point during the accident, subsequently blocking nearly every lane of the freeway.

The drivers of both the Dodge Ram and the Chevy Equinox were confirmed to have suffered injuries during the collision. The two victims were immediately taken to nearby hospitals as they had both been complaining of pain following the crash. There was no word as to whether or not the driver of the tractor-trailer was injuries, although other victims are suspected. The tractor-trailer, as well as the other two confirmed vehicles, had to be towed away from the wreckage.

There was no more information provided pertaining to the cause of the accident, and the names of those involved have not been released. Authorities are currently conducting a detailed investigation into the crash in an effort to establish liability.
