Gonzales, CA – At Least 1 Injured in Serious Traffic Crash on Highway 101

Gonzales, CA (April 24, 2019) On the night of April 22^nd, a serious traffic crash happened on Highway 101 at approximately 7:12 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol reported that a Ford sedan and a Ford van crashed into each other, causing the Ford sedan to roll over and land on its side on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway. The Ford van ended up 30 feet off the roadway and crashed into a tree.

When the paramedics and fire department arrived at the accident site, they found a male driver trapped inside of the van and bleeding from his head. They immediately freed him from the vehicle and took him to a nearby hospital for major injuries.

The police are currently investigating the crash, but a source revealed that the female driving the sedan was speeding on the highway right before crashing into the van.
