Guerneville, CA – Pedestrian Dies after Motorcycle Collision along River and Orchard Roads
Guerneville, CA (July 12, 2018) – Local news sources reported that a pedestrian died as a result of a fatal traffic accident involving a motorcycle that took place along River Road, in the vicinity of Orchard Road. The incident occurred at approximately 1:55 PM in the afternoon on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. Authorities have identified the deceased victim as 70-year old James Cullen Greer, a resident of Guerneville. Meanwhile, officials have also identified the motorcyclist as 28-year old Geno Quecke, also a resident of Petaluma.
According to the report, Greer was walking in the area and had attempted to cross River Road when, without warning, he was struck by the motorcycle. Sources indicate Quecke tried to avoid the pedestrian and braked, to no avail.
The California Highway Patrol confirmed that Greer was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he died sometime later.
At the same time, Quecke was also sent to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
As of now, the investigation is ongoing.
