Hayward, CA – Pedestrian, Ester Concepcion, Dies after Fatal Accident along Mission Boulevard and Arrowhead Way

Hayward, CA (July 11, 2018) – Local news sources reported that a pedestrian died as a result of a fatal accident that took place along Mission Boulevard and Arrowhead Way. The incident occurred at some time around 8:26 PM at night on Monday, July 9, 2018. Authorities have identified the deceased pedestrian as 58-year old Esther Concepcion, a resident of Hayward. No detailed information concerning the identity of the 21-year old motorist who struck Concepcion has been released at this time.

Based on the reports, Concepcion was walking across Mission Boulevard when, for indeterminate reasons, an oncoming Chevrolet Camaro plowed into her. Sources confirm the Hayward woman had been walking in a marked crosswalk. Afterward, Concepcion was transported to a nearby hospital, where sadly died from sustained trauma.

At the same time, the 21-year old driver of the Camaro stayed at the crash site and later arrested. However, law enforcement officials have not elaborated on the charges this individual could face.
