Head-On Collision with a Tractor-Trailer in Exeter Causes Serious Injuries

According to a local news source, a head-on collision between a vehicle and a tractor-trailer caused serious injuries for a man in Exeter. The crash happened Tuesday afternoon, June 12, at the intersection of Road 204 and Avenue 264 at approximately 2:30 p.m. Authorities have stated that Justin Trossian, 31, could have possibly attempted to pass a vehicle in front of him, subsequently veering into the oncoming lane and before crashing head-on into the fast-moving tractor-trailer.

Trossian incurred very serious, possibly catastrophic injuries as a result of the collision. He was immediately taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center to be treated for his injuries. Trossian was not the only one injured, however, as the truck driver complained of experiencing some pain and was also rushed to Kaweah Delta Medical Center to be evaluated.

While this accident looks as though Trossian may have been at fault, an investigation is currently underway in order to verify all the factors of the crash. The official cause of the accident has not yet been determined, and investigators will certainly be looking to see if there was any negligence asserted on behalf of the truck driver. At this time, we can only send our prayers and condolences to Mr. Trossian and his loved ones in hopes of a timely recovery.

In the event of a crash with a large commercial tractor-trailer where the truck driver is determined to have been at fault, the trucking company is typically held liable. If the driver was operating the truck on behalf of the trucking company, then the company must pay for all financial losses suffered by the victim.
