Hemet, CA – Girl Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle collision at Florida Avenue
Hemet, CA (November 1, 2018) – According to local officials, a 12-year-old girl was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday night. The accident transpired at approximately 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 30th, on Florida Avenue. Details identifying the people involved in the accident have not been released.
Officials have confirmed, a girl was riding as a passenger in a vehicle that attempted to make a left turn from Florida Avenue onto Meridian Street. At this time, another vehicle traveling on Florida Avenue was not able to stop in time and broadsided the passenger’s side of the car. A third vehicle was struck by vehicle parts from the initial crash. First responders rushed to the scene and attend to the girl who reportedly sustained injuries upon impact of the collision.
Paramedics transported her to Hemet Valley Hospital for more in-depth treatment of injuries to her leg, arm and back. All the parties involved remained at the crash site and cooperated with investigators. Officials have ruled out alcohol or drugs as contributing factors in the accident. Police are still trying to determine the sequence of events leading up to this multi-vehicle accident.
