Hemet, CA – Jesse Herrera Identified as Victim of Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Menlo Avenue

Hemet, CA (July 14, 2018) – A 32-year-old resident of Hemet was tragically struck and killed by a motor vehicle while walking across Menlo Avenue on Thursday evening, according to a local and trustworthy news outlet. The victim of that horrendous accident has now been identified as Jesse Herrera.

The initial investigation into this crash showed that Herrera was reportedly attempting to walk across Menlo Avenue when he was tragically hit by a passing GMC pickup truck that was heading east. Authorities went on to state that Herrera was crossing the avenue between two intersections when the accident occurred.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene to find Herrera lying down on Menlo Avenue near Santa Fe Street. Paramedics did everything they could to revive the man but Herrera was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the driver who struck Herrera is currently unknown as the hit-and-run driver reportedly fled the scene of the accident and has not yet been located. Investigators are currently working to determine the exact cause of the accident and to locate the suspect responsible for Mr. Herrera’s death.
