Hemet, CA – Injuries in Mail Truck Crash at West Latham and North Hamilton Avenues

Hemet, CA (April 1, 2019) – A collision between a USPS mail truck and a green Toyota minivan resulted in minor injuries on Friday, around 4:30 p.m. According to authorities, the crash, which occurred at West Latham and North Hamilton Avenues, involved a DUI driver.

Officers arriving at the crash scene found the mail truck on its side and the Toyota minivan about a hundred yards away. Authorities noted that the mail van was broadsided by the Toyota when the minivan driver failed to stop at a stop sign.

The mail carrier was uninjured in the accident. However, a passenger in the Toyota sustained minor injuries. The victim was taken to Hemet Valley Hospital. The minivan driver was arrested for DUI.

One of the vehicles received front-end damage, while the other sustained minor side damage. Both were towed away for the investigation, which is ongoing.
