Hesperia, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Bear Valley Road
Hesperia, CA (February 28, 2019) – On Tuesday morning on Bear Valley Road, a fatal pedestrian accident took place in the number two lane and caused the death of one person.
The victim, a 27-year-old man whose name has not been released, was struck by a 2013 Ford Fiesta on Bear Valley Road just east of 3rd Avenue. Police believe that, following the accident, the man from Las Vegas was not able to get up, which is when he was struck a second time by another vehicle. From there, a third vehicle came and struck him as well.
The Hesperia Police Department and paramedics responded to the accident immediately, where they discovered the pedestrian lying in the middle of the roadway. He was tragically pronounced deceased around 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
The identity of the man will not be released until next-of-kin is notified.
Two out of three of the motorists who struck the pedestrian stayed at the scene of the accident and cooperated with police. The investigation into the matter continues at this time.
