Hesperia, CA (August 2, 2018) – A local news source reported that a motorcyclist died as the result of a brutal traffic accident that took place along Peach Avenue and Donert Street. The incident happened at approximately 11:35 AM in the morning on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the motorcyclist, the motorist, or additional people involved in the crash has been revealed.
According to initial reports, an unidentified Apple Valley man was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson northbound along Peach Avenue at the same time a 2011 Kia SUV was heading southbound on the same roadway. Medical personnel confirmed the man had sustained severe trauma from the impact. Later, the victim was sent to Desert Valley Hospital, where he died during the process of treatment.
Paramedics successfully treated the Kia driver, who had suffered non-life threatening injuries, at the scene of the accident.
Until approximately 2:20 PM in the afternoon, law enforcement officers shut down two lanes on Peach Avenue.
Presently, the investigation is ongoing.
We extend our most heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to the family and friends of the Apple Valley man and wish them peace of mind and strength during this difficult, tragic time.
