Hesperia, CA – Woman Critically Injured after Two-Vehicle Traffic Accident near Highway 395 and Main Street

Hesperia, CA (July 9, 2018) – Local news sources reported that a two-vehicle traffic accident took place in the vicinity of Highway 395 and Main Street. The incident occurred at some time before 2:33 AM in the early morning hours on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Authorities have not revealed any detailed information concerning the identities of the people involved in the crash at this time.

Based on the reports, a red sedan was driving in the northbound lanes on Highway 395 while, at the same time, a black pickup truck was heading southbound down Main. At some point, the sedan sped through a red light and crashed into the truck at 395 and Main, resulting in the truck overturning.

Rescue teams including the San Bernardino County Fire Department and paramedics rushed to the crash site and extracted a female victim from the wreckage of the sedan. Afterward, the woman was transported via air ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she received treatment for traumatic injuries.

Meanwhile, the male truck driver refused to be treated at the site.

As of now, the investigation is ongoing.
