Hilmar, CA – Frederick Gleason Killed in Fatal Accident on Highway 165

Hilmar, CA (March 5, 2019) – On Saturday night, 82-year-old Frederick Gleason lost his life in a fatal accident that took place on Highway 165 involving two vehicles. The California Highway Patrol immediately investigated the accident.

Police say that the accident involved Gleason’s motor vehicle and a big rig. Gleason was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene while the big rig driver, a 43-year-old, did not receive injuries.

At the time, the driver of the truck had allegedly been turning north onto Highway 165 after stopping at an intersection. The Lexus being driven by Gleason was unable to stop in time and evade the truck. The two then collided.

Police are still investigating the events leading up to the accident.
