In the early morning hours of June 10, a hit-and-run crash on the 215 freeway fatally injured one motorcyclist and left one individual on the run. The accident occurred around 3:42 a.m. on the southbound lane of the 215 freeway near the 3rd Street exit.
An initial report by the CHP identified the hit-and-run vehicle as a white Nissan sedan that fled the scene after striking the motorcyclist. Following the incident, the driver of the sedan reportedly fled the scene. This individual has been identified as a 25-year-old white male who was last seen wearing a gray shirt and gray jeans. He initially left the scene on foot, abandoning his vehicle at the accident. According to the initial report, the driver proceeded westbound towards the 91 freeway. As of posting, his name had not been released to the public.
Upon arriving at the scene, emergency responders found the motorcyclist on the freeway’s second lane and determined that the individual had sustained fatal injuries during the course of the collision. The name of the motorcyclist has not been released as authorities take steps to inform the victim’s next of kin.
An investigation into the nature of the crash is still ongoing and police are still searching for the driver of the white sedan
