Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident in Orange County Leaves Young Boy Injured
Roque Antonio Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident
Orange County, California (June 18, 2018) – A young boy was involved in a hit-and-run collision that took place at an undisclosed location in the Orange County Area. Initial sources have stated that the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while he was moving across the crosswalk. The victim has been identified as 6-year old Roque Antonio.
News reports indicate that Antonio was riding his bike down the crosswalk when he was hit. The suspected driver of the vehicle has been identified as 41-year old Josue Cisneros. According to initial reports, Cisneros struck the young boy and continued to drive away. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene and Antonio immediately received care from first responders. Fortunately, Antonio was wearing his bicycle helmet at the time of the crash, and he did not sustain any traumatic injuries.
Due to the assistance of witnesses, police were able to apprehend Cisneros, who was discovered driving on Ortega Highway on the same night as the incident. The cause and circumstances surrounding the crash itself are still under investigation.
