Hollister, CA. 1 Person Killed in Fatal Accident on Fairview Road

Hollister, CA. (July 1, 2018) – According to the California Highway Patrol, one person was tragically killed in a car accident on Fairview Road Saturday night. The fatal accident reportedly occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m. a little north of Highway 25.

The California Highway Patrol reported that one vehicle apparently slammed into a tree for reasons that are currently unknown. Smoke was apparently billowing out from under the hood of the vehicle when officers arrived on the scene. Firefighters had to work to remove one person from the wreck who was reportedly trapped inside the vehicle.

Emergency responders worked hard to perform life-saving measures on the victim. Unfortunately, their efforts proved fruitless as the victim was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries suffered during the crash. Authorities had to shut down Fairview Road until approximately 8:51 p.m.

No further information regarding the cause of the crash or the victims’ name have been provided at this time. An investigation into this accident is currently ongoing in order to conclusively determine if any other vehicles or other parties played a role in the crash.
