Hollister, CA – 2 Collisions on Highway 152 and Casa de Fruta

Hollister, CA (July 17, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported two collisions that occurred within minutes of each other on Highway 152 Tuesday morning. Several injuries reported following the collisions, the first of which took place at approximately 5:03 a.m., and the second crash that occurred around 10 minutes later.

The initial collision occurred between two vehicles including a GMC van on the highway near Casa de Fruta. Shortly after that first crash, an individual exited the 2006 van and immediately struck by another vehicle. One of the vehicles involved reportedly overturned onto its roof as it caught on fire due to the impact of the crash. The pedestrian then apparently entered a Chevrolet Colorado Pickup truck that transported the injured individual to a local Chevron gas station in Santa Nella.

Paramedics were quick to respond to the scene in order to assist any victims. At least one of the victims involved reportedly suffered serious injuries during the collision. There was no more information made available concerning the events that led to this accident. Neither the names of any victims nor the extent of their injuries has been released at this time. Authorities are presently heading up an investigation into this crash I order to determine liability.
