Hoopa, Humboldt County, California – One Injured after Traffic Accident on Highway 96
Hoopa, Humboldt County, California (July 3, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that a traffic accident took place on the 1400 block of Highway 96, in the vicinity of Marshall Lane. The incident occurred at some time around 6:30 PM in the early evening on Friday, June 29, 2018. As of today, authorities have not revealed any detailed information concerning the identities of the victim involved in the crash at this time.
As per the report, a Kia SUV and a Mitsubishi sedan were traveling along Highway 96 when, for indeterminate reasons, the two vehicles collided near Marshall Avenue. First responders confirmed the Kia suffered massive amounts of damage to the front end, while the Mitsubishi sustained damage to the driver’s side portion. Later, paramedics arrived at the site and administered aid to at least one victim, who had sustained head trauma from the impact. This individual was later taken to a hospital, where the injuries were listed as non-life threatening.
As of now, the investigation is ongoing.
