Humboldt County, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on Highway 101 nearby Stone Lagoon

Humboldt County, CA (August 11, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol released a report stating that a motorcyclist suffered major injuries following an accident that occurred on Highway 101 Saturday morning. The traffic collision that took place in the area of Trinidad was reported to have transpired around 11:12 a.m. in the vicinity of Stone Lagoon.

The California Highway Patrol reported a call they received concerning a collision that occurred between a motorcyclist and a red Jeep. The accident took place on Highway 101, which is also known as Redwood Highway, for reasons that have not been determined.

Paramedics were immediately called to the scene to provide assistance to the motorcycle rider who had sustained injuries that were considered major. The victim was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment.

There was no word as to whether or not the driver of the Jeep was hurt in the crash, or if they remained at the scene following the impact. No more information has been released in regards to this accident, and neither the name nor current condition of the victim is known at this time.
