Indio, CA – Frederick Guerra Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 10 Freeway in Indio
Indio, CA – (November 30, 2018) – Frederick Guerra has been identified as the 41-year-old man who was killed in a traffic accident early Friday morning in Indio. The accident was reported just before 2:30 am on Interstate 10 east of Golf Center Parkway.
Per the initial report, Guerra was walking along Interstate 10 in the slow lane when an oncoming 2017 Chevrolet Cruze struck him. Police and firefighters were dispatched to the scene where they discovered Guerra suffering from major injuries and attempted to stabilize him but sadly he succumbed to his injuries and died at the crash site. The driver involved, 43-year-old Mario Carbajal, stopped and complied with investigators. Police confirmed drugs and alcohol were not contributing factors. Officers said the driver attempted to swerve around the pedestrian but was unable. No additional information has been provided.
This accident is currently under investigation.
