Irwindale, CA – One Person Airlifted after Multi-Vehicle Accident on the 605 Freeway

Irwindale, CA – (November 19, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a traffic accident that resulted in major injuries Monday in Irwindale. The accident took place around 6 am on Interstate 605 near Ramona Boulevard.

According to the initial report, an unidentified driver was traveling on Interstate 605 when he lost control of his vehicle and was ejected onto the northbound side of the freeway where he was struck by another car. A Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter responded to the scene and transported the victim to a hospital in unknown condition. It was immediately unclear if anyone else involved in this accident was injured. Police are working to establish the probable cause of the accident.
