La Mesa, CA – Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Car on Avocado Boulevard Identified as Daniel Lusteg

La Mesa, CA (August 11, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol has confirmed the identity of the 61-year-old man who was sadly struck and killed by a vehicle last weekend while riding his bicycle on Avocado Boulevard as Daniel Lusteg. The fatal accident was reported to have transpired on Saturday morning, August 4.

The initial investigation into this deadly accident showed that Lusteg had been attempting to merge left onto the boulevard as a motor vehicle tried to pass him. The article continued to explain that Lusteg had veered further to the left and the vehicle which was unable to stop subsequently hit the victim.
